FAQ
Electrolyzed water is an all natural solution that is produced using just tap water, salt, and electricity. When using food-grade table salt as an additive, our system can generate a near neutral electrolyzed water (pH 5-7) composed mostly of stable Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl), a powerful oxidant and antimicrobial.
Electrolyzed water, when generated from food grade table salt, is one of the most powerful sanitizers on the market. Electrolyzed water can be 100x more effective than chlorine bleach against bacteria, bacterial spores, viruses, and fungi. There are over 300 published research articles demonstrating it's effectiveness.
Electrolyzed water's microbial killing power is contributed to its high oxidation potential (800 mV to 1,000 mV). Our electrolyzed water, when generated from food-grade table salt, contains 90% stable Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl). HOCl is electrically neutral allowing for it to easily penetrate bacterial cell walls and viral protein coats and envelopes. Through oxidation, it destroys DNA, RNA, and proteins necessary for bacterial and viral survival and replication.
Electrolyzed water is an all natural sanitizer created with just tap water, salt, and electricity. Electrolyzed water is non-toxic, non-hazardous, and non-irritant.
Yes, electrolytically generated Hypochlorous Acid has been approved by the FDA for use as a no-rinse sanitizer on contact surfaces and directly on food. It is also considered organic.
Hypochlorous acid can be used on all surfaces, however, there are some things to be mindful of. If you are using it on fabric or clothing, we recommend you do not use a solution that consists of more than 300 - 350 PPM. Any higher than 350 PPM runs the risk of damaging clothes. Also if you use it on glass, mirrors, or unfinished metals, you need to wipe the solution immediately after applying, as it may leave residue. HOCl can be corrosive to some metals. Wipe down excess mist on metal surfaces.
No, it does not require any safety gear such as eye protection or gloves. It is non-toxic, non-hazardous, and non-irritant.
No, it does not require a hazardous use permit.
Your Hypochlorous Acid solution will remain active for about two weeks (14 days). However, if your solution expires, you can simply put it back into the G1 Disinfectant generator to reactivate it!
You can make Hypochlorous Acid solution with tap water, food-grade table salt, and white distilled vinegar. So simple!
